Pokemon Go Might Look Like This on HoloLens
Pokemon Go is a free-to-play mobile app game that you can download for iOS or Android. It’s free to download and start playing, but you can use money to buy in-game currency called PokeCoins.
Pokemon Go works by using your phone’s GPS for your location and augmented reality to bring up Pokemon on your screen, overlaid on top of real world objects you see in front of you.
The game has not even arrived in many countries yet, but people are going crazy for it. As the title of this story says, you might be wondering how a Pokemon Go-like game look like on Microsoft’s augmented reality headset, HoloLens? Well there is a new concept video has an answer.
CapitolaVR company has created the concept video using the Unity engine with the HoloLens SDK, this is very much a work-in-progress and is just early concept footage of what something like Pokemon Go could look like on HoloLens. Take a look:
“For now the Pokemon are randomly generated within a mapped environment,” CapitolaVR boss David Robustelli told UploadVR. “But I’m sure that in the upcoming years when more and more people are developing for this hardware also, more things will be standard to use in tools and apps,” he explained.
